A heart-wrenching incident has emerged from Shanti Nagar in Bindukhata, where an 18-year-old girl tragically ended her life by consuming poison under mysterious circumstances. She was immediately rushed to Sushila Tiwari Hospital in Haldwani for treatment, where doctors declared her brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as the daughter of Hira Singh Danu, a resident of Shanti Nagar. A graduate student who had recently passed her 12th-grade board exams, she was returning home from the gym when the tragic incident unfolded. Soon after reaching home, she allegedly consumed a poisonous substance, shocking her family.
Some locals speculate that a love affair might be linked to the incident, though nothing has been confirmed. The girl’s family, devastated by the loss, is unable to speak about the matter. The deceased was the second of four siblings — three daughters and one son.
The incident has cast a pall of gloom over the entire locality.
