Ranikhet Cantt, Uttarakhand – January 20, 2026: Century Pulp & Paper Limited has completed a deeply meaningful Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative by constructing four homes for widows of soldiers martyred in the line of duty. The facilities were inaugurated today in a dignified ceremony at Ranikhet Cantonment.
This project was undertaken under the company’s CSR framework through the CRO (Corporate Responsibility Office) segment. It reflects the strong commitment of the company, guided by the directives of Managing Director Shri R. K. Dalmia, to give back to society, especially to the families of armed forces personnel.
The inauguration was jointly performed by Shri Ajay Kumar Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of Century Pulp & Paper, and Brigadier S. S. Yadav, Commandant, Kumaon Regiment Centre, who cut the ribbon in the presence of a respected gathering.
This initiative stands as a sincere tribute to the supreme sacrifice of brave soldiers who laid down their lives defending the nation. The four homes will provide war widows with greater security, dignity, and comfort, helping improve their quality of life significantly.
Speaking on the occasion, Ajay Kumar Gupta said: “We place the highest priority on our responsibility towards society, the nation, and especially the families of our armed forces. Through our CSR programs, the company continuously works on projects related to education, healthcare, environmental protection, and social welfare.”
The event was attended by company Vice President Naresh Chandra, Principal Captain Smt. Uma of Ashok Hall Girls’ School, Majkhali, Ravi Pathak, along with several officers and personnel from the Indian Army.
